When choosing your coffee liqueur, we always suggest choosing a local craft spirit. In terms of coffee liqueur, Durham Distillery in Raleigh, NC makes a Damn Fine Coffee Liqueur that is perfect for this cocktail. In terms of orange liqueur, Grand Marnier or Cointreau will suffice until we discover a delicious craft orange liqueur (fingers crossed this happens sooner than later)!
Ingredients 2 parts whiskey (Boundary Street Bourbon OR Rye Whiskey 1 part coffee liqueur 1 part orange liqueur 2 dashes Aztec Chocolate Bitters Directions Combine all ingredients into a shaker pint glass. Add ice and shake until cold. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with toasted marshmallow and an expressed orange peel. FYI: Drop the marshmallow into your drink to sweeten it up a bit! Or just use it for a mid-cocktail snack.
