So we're a day late, but not a drink short this week. And this one is delicious. We made this Lavender Whiskey Lemonade for Find Your Spirit Festival this past weekend in Asheville and it was such a hit, we just had to share it with everyone this week for Boozeday Tuesday.
Lavender is known for its relaxing properties and who doesn't love to relax on a porch with some lemonade on nice Carolina spring or summer day? Only a crazy person would say that doesn't sound appealing. So how do you get refreshed and relaxed with a Lavender Whiskey Lemonade?
Do you know what kind of cocktails are my favorite? Well, truthfully, I'll try almost anything, but cocktails that combine craft beer and bourbon are at the top of my list. But if you find a cocktail that doesn't just stop at beer and bourbon, but goes further with fresh fruit, herbs and raw sugar, you, my friend, have found yourself a winner. Thus, we give you the Black-beery Bourbon.
This past weekend, we participated in The Big Sip Festival in Winston-Salem, NC. Our cocktail was such a hit we had no choice but to make it this week's Boozeday Tuesday (nor are we disappointed that this is the cocktail of the week). All you need is iced tea, your favorite Boundary Street Whiskey and some peach simple syrup and you'll be enjoying this cocktail all year long.
Who doesn't like the combination of chocolate and mint? This Chocolate Mintini is like sipping on an Andes Mint in a glass. This delectable treat is an adult upgrade for all of you mint chocolate chip ice cream lovers out there. All you need is Boundary Street Bourbon, Godiva White Chocolate Liqueurand green Crème de Menthe. You can serve this over ice or shaken in a martini or coupe glass...
World Nutella Day falling on Warehouse Distillery Boozeday Tuesday a coincidence? I think not. This martini is the stuff of dreams for anyone who loves Nutella, bourbon, chocolate and dessert. Trust me, I dreamed about it all night after enjoying a couple last night.
Plus, Valentine's Day is coming up and this would make the perfect nightcap for you and your significant other OR it would be the perfect sweet treat for a Galentine's Bash with your girlfriends.
The Bootlegger Joe is smooth, slightly sweet with a touch of coffee and a splash of orange. It's a great after dinner or anytime sipper. Even if whiskey isn't your thing, this drink could have you changing your mind.
You can use bourbon or rye whiskey for this cocktail depending on your desired flavor. Bourbon will be a little bit more mild and allow the coffee liqueur and orange liqueur to do more talking, while Rye Whiskey is a little bit more spice forward being the foremost ingredient of this cocktail.
I know what you're all thinking... "'The Preakness' like the horse race?"
Surprisingly enough, this cocktail is not the official cocktail of The Preakness Stakes, that's the Black Eyed Susan. You can get the recipe for it on the Preakness Stakes website, so I won't bother with it here. Though you may hardly ever encounter it, The Preakness is a cocktail worth knowing.
This past Saturday, we attended the North Carolina Wine Festival in Raleigh. One of our featured cocktails was the Apple Cider Whiskey Mule and it was a huge hit, so we wanted to share the recipe with all of you. This cocktail is so versatile that it's perfect for any of your upcoming holiday parties. You can choose your whiskey and it can be served hot or cold.
