for the love of booze
This recipe calls for three simple ingredients: Boundary St. Maple, lemon juice and a homemade cinnamon simple syrup.
To make your simple syrup, you will need equal parts water and sugar and some cinnamon sticks. This is easy to prepare and will keep in the fridge for two weeks.
How to make Cinnamon Simple Syrup:
Combine equal parts water and granulated sugar in a saucepan. We suggest 1/4-1/2 cup of each. Heat on the stove top until sugar is completely dissolved. Add cinnamon sticks (number depends on how much water and sugar). Allow to steep for 20-30 minutes depending on desired flavor strength. Start small and taste as it steeps. You can always add more if you want a stronger cinnamon flavor. Once you have achieved your desired cinnamon flavor, remove the sticks from the simple syrup and pour into a sealed container. Allow to cool before putting it into the refrigerator.
Now, on to the cocktails!
Combine all ingredients into a shaker glass. Fill with ice. Shake until cold. Strain into fresh glass with ice. Garnish with cinnamon stick and lemon twist. Enjoy!
